The Superbowl was yesterday and the Eagles WON! The city was alive with fans climbing traffic lights, ripping street signs out of the ground, and binge drinking like it was their last chance.
It was amazing. But between all of the game day food, alcohol, and harsh weather, your skin is definitely feeling the effects (puffiness, dryness, dehydration, break outs) of a wild night. So be sure to give your skin some extra love to keep it healthy and hydrated after a night out with these steps:
1. Charcoal exfoliating powder – Charcoal pulls toxins and dirt out of your pores. While many people enjoy charcoal masks, I prefer using it in powder form during the winter to scrub away any dead, dry skin to keep my face and body feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
2. KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil – I’m obsessed with KORA Organics products. The whole collection is certified organic and the key ingredients are packed with nutrients that have healing and protective properties, such as Noni Extract, Rosehip Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil and Green Tea. I put this oil on every day after a shower, but it feels especially soothing to my skin after a night out. Place 2-3 droplets in your hand, gently rub your palms together, and then massage all over your face and neck. Let it set in and feel your face relax.
3. Coconut Oil – If the Noni Face Oil is out of your budget, using coconut oil is a healthy, cheaper alternative. Massage the oil all over your face and body, and let it soothe deep into your skin.
4. KORA Organics Hydrating Moisturizer – I’ve tried many different moisturizers, but this one is my favorite. I like knowing that the ingredients I’m putting on my skin are organic, vegan, and cruelty-free, and this moisturizer checks all of those requirements. Your skin is your largest organ, and this moisturizer takes care of my skin by keeping it hydrated and balanced without any harsh chemicals.
While these ingredients will keep your skin relaxed, healthy, and hydrated, be sure to take care of your skin in other daily ways, as well. Drink lots of water, reduce stress, wear mineral makeup, keep your pillow cases clean, and incorporate lots of healthy, nutrient-dense foods into your meals such as fruits and vegetables. Trust me, you’ll start noticing a difference in no time.
